Though most can easily picture a dragon, the understanding of them varies drastically. Similar is said about performance art. Some dragons have wings; others don't. Some speak or breathe fire; others won’t. Some are a few feet long; others span miles. Some reside in palaces under the ocean, while others can only be found in caves and inside mountains.

Among the animal spirit guides the Dragon is arguably the most ancient and imposing. In the Far East, Dragon symbolism is all about the authority of the Emperor (who for a long time in history was the designated “dreamer” for the entire Country). In this setting and many others, Dragon rules the elements and can take whatever form desired.
Regardless of where they’re found and what they do, there is one common thread: they encompass natural forces on all planes of existence, longevity and the earliest form of magic that to many, has been lost over time.
